Distance Learning Project

Middle School Options When Following Traditional Single Subject Tracks

If your school administration would prefer for the technology to be integrated into regularly scheduled single subject classes, then this program can serve your technology integration needs in a single subject setting, with an understanding that references to other disciplines will be a normal part of the learning process. For example, a science class will study both Earth and Living Sciences throughout the school year - preferably at least twice a week, but on a once a week basis can be managed. These learning activities will compliment other science activities taking place in the classroom, and will develop skills that will cross over into the traditional framework studies.

For the History-Social Science classes, this program is highly recommended to compliment the 8th grade U.S. History Growth and Conflict subject area, and will offer the students complimentary daily or weekly history, geography, humanities, anthropology, ethnic studies and sociology components. For the English Literature class, the program will offer the classroom a weekly comparative literature activity, and home reading assignments for two semesters under a California and Western Literature emphasis.
