Wow what a day on the CX with David as captain I was alone with over
140 passengers on the 9am and noon trip. There was a cow and calf
hanging out not to far from the harbor. I guess the calf was not much
older then a year or less?? On the noon trip the calf spy hoped 3 or 4
times to check us out the mom was just business watching her baby. On
both trips we ran into some humps that were feeding and fluking allot
of 8 miles or so. heading home on the noon trip we were lucky to see
400 common dolphins. All the kids were carrying big smiles home large
and small.

But now the WOW!!!!!

We
saw two humps just out side the harbor with the speed twin already on
the seen and about 5 sail boats all lingering around the two. So
captain Dave headed out to sea what a great chose. We came across the
pod of commons again that were joined with a few more some fine stunts
and lot of mating.

Then off the bow I spotted a blow about 1/2
mile ahead. The commons lead us right to the humps There ended up to be
3 humps they were very friendly. Spy hopping(case book) 15 yards from
us, peck slaps at least 10 times. Then they got real friendly swimming
under and around us. Coming up right next to us all 3 at once a few
times. The would dive and turn right there I could touch them.
One
time (one has all white pecks) surfaced in slow motion right in front
of me from under the boat. I don't think I could have gotten any closer
unless I was in the water. ALL I CAN SAY WAS WOW!!! I think we hung out
with them for an hour or more. As we left they followed us for a bit. I
think they liked us too. This day just made all the training worth it.

Thanks you humps

Keith
