[CINC] hand guns in national parks

    recently i forwarded an editorial concerning loaded hand guns in
    national
    parks. my intention was to inform you of this change in policy not
    to make
    a political point. as i am sure many of you recognized, the article was
    biased and was not the official position of the national park service. i
    received the editorial as part of the nps public information office mass
    email which tracks all news articles related to the nps without
    regard to
    the particular slant. this is a very contentious issue and i would
    encourage all of you to explore the many sides of this issue. a simple
    search on the internet, will give you plenty of information from all
    sides.
