[CINC] Vangard on 1/11/09

AM trip: 4 Gray's south of the ACI/SCI gap, with a number of flukes
           a few Common Dolphin

PM trip: 5 Gray's, again in the same area & giving us a number of flukes
           Common Dolphin: probably less than 100, very scattered throughout the trip

It was a beautiful clear day with little swell.  Perfect for spotting the spouts & the whales were cooperative.  There was a good mix of foreign & domestic travelers.  One group was comprised of seven 11th grade students from an elite school in Japan who were practicing their English.  Crew was Jason, Joel, & Alli.  Excellent fellow naturalist was Dean Benjamin.  I considered it a very successful day.
