[CINC] Whales at the beach...

On Tuesday I was coming back from LAX via the PCH.  (Is there any  
other way to travel to and from the airport...no.)  And I saw a  
number of spouts by a kelp bed.  I waited to see it they traveled  
north or south and they did neither!  I only watched about three  
cycles of 3-4 minutes each, and they (at least two whales) kept  
coming up at the corner of the kelp bed.  This was at the northern  
end of Malibu when the oceanside houses just begin.
