THE BEAT GOES ON!

Capt.Mat says there were 25 or more Blues in the area 8 miles north of the west end of SCI. Hal Altman, Marie Ornelas and I were only bold enough to report 15 that we felt pretty sure of. More spouts were everywhere around us. Their actions included several flukes to the delight of everyone. Then we moved further slightly west and come upon 5 Humpbacks including a cow/calf pair and  another Blue. Several of the Humpbacks were set upon putting on a big show, including  one of them doing a 2/3 body breach almost next to the boat(barnacles visible and all). The flukes and the pec slapping and turning and twisting was just a great performance. In particular, the calf did some really wild movements.
