4 Humpbacks (2 cow/calf pairs)

100 common dolphins

 

Overcast skies, but reasonably calm and pretty good visibility.

All the big boys were feeding in an area about 3-5 miles from the west end
of Santa Cruz. Spouts were going off everywhere and hanging in the calm air.
Capt. Matt was surprised to find the humpbacks because they had been missing
for 2 weeks.

About 60 passengers enjoyed a great day of viewing as well as a look at
Painted Cave.

Jinny Fisher was the other naturalist and Polly Blackburn was on photo ID.
