Estimates in the early 1990s suggested that 10-18,000 jays live on Santa Cruz. Our recent work suggests that there are a few thousand jays. We're actively analyzing data now and hope to have a robust estimate by late summer.

I am a volunteer with the Channel Islands Naturalist Corps and received a? copy of your study on the SC Island scrub jay.?
