Good views of all:
1 Blue
5 Humpbacks
and.........................
a Black-Footed Albartross

The Condox came to a screaching halt as we watched, and photographed this impressively large visitor to the Channel the bird, not the blue.) Those coming on the birding trip tomorrow will hear the story and the experts will have the 30 or so photos that Cal Meusser took.

Very limited visibility until we were out near the eastern end of SCI, but we did have plenty to see. Lots of red-neck phaloropes, sooty shearwaters, fulmars, pigeon guillemots, oystercatchers, brown pelicans, cormorants and the usual assortment of gulls. After tomorrow I'm sure, I'll be able to "see" more. Thanks to Mat we were all given a "life bird" right in our backyard.

When the sun came out we were able to see several spouts and flukes in the distance.....and at least 2 blues way out there on the return journey.
