<b>Using Photo-identification </b><b>of Blue and Humpback Whales </b><b>to
Study Population Trends <br>

John Calambokidis, founder of Cascadia Research Collective, will
discuss the use of photo-identification as a tool to understand
population dynamics of blue and humpback whales in the Eastern North
Pacific and Santa Barbara Channel. He will also discuss photo-id data
contributed by Channel Islands Naturalist Corps volunteers and answer
questions for volunteers participating in the CINC photo-id effort. All
CINC volunteers are welcome to attend this presentation.<br>

*If you are interested in becoming trained to participate in photo-id
you are strongly encouraged to attend this lecture. To participate in
photo-id you will be required to attend a mandatory hands-on camera
training, TBA/ June. You must have joined the CINC program prior to
2008 to sign-up for photo-id.</i><b><br>
