Ray Ford The following is an intrepretive account of the trip to Anacapa Island by the Student Summit Team. The purpose of the trip was for the students to take part in kicking off the Sustainable Seas Expedition presence in the Channel Island National Marine Sanctuary. During the day the students participated
in the Great American Fish Count, conducted an interview with
Laura Francis of NOAA from her underwater location--as well as
the Deepworker, which was piloted by Ed Cassano, the Sanctuary's
director. It was a very memorable day, one which I'm sure the
students will remember a long time. If you were at either at Anacapa Island for this day of incredible activities or participated in them on-shore and would like to share your thoughts, Camp Internet will post them as one of our "interpretive accounts". To send us your account, email it to Ray Ford at Camp Internet and we will post it. |
