Selected sites created by Arts & Technology alumni:
|
Welcome to the Artists & Alumni page where we pay tribute to the artists associated with the Arts & Technology Workshop, and the students and emerging artists who have participated. Some have moved on and now work art, information systems, and new media, where computers and art merge. Some are still associated with our program, helping those who follow. We thank those artists who have helped build our educational programs, and are proud to have played a small part in our alumni's success.

| Truck
Truck turned an internship at software developer MetaTools into a profession and now designs web sites for Rock Stars. Following is a press release from Billboard's Julie Taraska, October 27, 1998:
Most new albums get delivered by trucks. The new Beck album is being delivered -- in part -- on a Web site (www.beck.com) overseen by a fan named Truck. The new album, "Mutations," will be released Nov. 3 by DGC/Geffen. However, the track "Tropicalia" is already available on the site and 30-second RealAudio samples of other cuts from the album are being added every few days.
Presiding over the mini-release is the Santa Barbara, Calif.-based fan known as Truck, 19, who launched a site dedicated to all things Beck in 1995. Just over a year ago, Beck's management deemed www.beck-web.com the artist's official Internet address, with Truck as its webmaster. According to DGC, the site will soon feature photos from the "Mutations" recording sessions and an interview with Beck.
