Before you begin...

1. Mac operating systems(OS) before 7.5

   These systems do not include MacTCP (Transmission Control Protocol, the language of the Internet.) You have to obtain that from Apple or it is included in internet startup kits that you can get from a computer dealer. We do recommend that you upgrade to system 7.5.3 if possible,
   for it does include MacTCP plus other Internet connectivity items.

2. Mac OS 7.5.2

   Has to be upgraded to system 7.5.3 in order to connect to the Internet. You can get that upgrade from Apple or from a computer dealer.

   
   
   

3. Please quit all applications before starting the installation process.

How to Install FreePPP 2.5.3v2

1. Insert RAIN'S MacSoftware disk into the floppy drive of your Mac.
2. Double Click on the RAIN'S MacSoftware disk icon.
   

3. Drag the FreePPP2.5v3 folder onto your hard-drive.
   
   
   

4. First open the Free PPP Ver. 2.5.3 Folder, then Double Click on the file "FreePPP Install 2.5v3.sit". Proceed then to un-stuff it to a temporary folder. Create a new folder if you do not already have an empty folder to install from. If yo u haven't installed Stuff-It Expander on your system already, you may install the version provided on the RAIN diskette.
   
   
   

   

   
   
   

5. Double Click your hard drive and locate the FreePPP2.5v3 folder.
   
   
   
   
   

6. Double Click the FreePPP2.5v2 folder.
