Indian Paintbrush

The Indian paintbrush is one of the plants we saw. The plant is tall, about four feet,  and bushy.  The flower was brilliant red.   Our class sighted the Indian paintbrush on a hill on Anacapa
Island.

The Beavertail Cactus

The beaver tail cactus is native to north and south Americans. It resembles a beaver's tail,
very flat andhas a  rounded shape.  They grow in different sizes. The body of the beaver tail
cactus helps the plant survive in dry weather. The beaver tail has long roots.
