Anacapa Island
    Animals

We saw some California sea lions while we were riding on the boat to Anacapa Island. We also saw shearwater birds flying beside the boat. When we got on Anacapa Island we were greeted by dozens of common gulls. Then we saw some brown pelicans flying by.  Black cormorants rested on some rocks.
Once we were on Anacapa Island our guide showed us some creatures from the low tide area. She showed us the Spanish shawl, the sea hare, the sea urchin, mussels, a sea star, and a bat star.  We were asked to identify the parts of the kelp she showed us.
When we finally started or hike we saw common gulls that had layed their eggs on the ground. We also saw side blotched lizard. There were many bugs on the walk.
When we got on the boat back to the mainland we saw jelly fish in the water that looked like blobs of color in the water. Then we saw about 500 common dolphins jumping in and out of the water. There were dolphins jumping beside the boat. That is what we saw on our trip.
