Our guides, Holly and Jean, welcomed us. We were so lucky to be able to ride Island Packers' new boat. It went super fast! On our trip to Anacapa we saw sea lions resting on the buoy. A little black bird, the stearwater, flew along side the boat. It could fly as fast as the boat traveled. We think that we saw a whale, but it was too far away to make a positive identification.
