The Ice Plant is a cool plant. It’s red and the stem is green and it looks like a tube. When
you look at a field of them it looks like you can walk on them. Man planted the ice plant to keep
Anacapa from wind and rain erosion.   However, the ice plant is taking over the island, choking
out the native plants. Also the common gulls like to lay their eggs on them.
