• San Salvador, El Salvador. I lived there until I was 15 and then came to the U.S.A.

Educational background:

• Went to U.C.S.B. and received Bachelor's degree in Spanish. Graduated in 1991. I went to U.C.S.B. to the teaching credential program and finished in 1992

Other activities or hobbies:

• School-Folklorico Club advisor, co-coordinator for the Bilingual Advisory Comittee. I enjoy swimming, taking walks on the beach, going to cultural events, reading and cooking

Teaching likes:

• I like the daily interaction with the students and the satisfaction that I get from seeing the students grow and succeed

Family:

• My mother, brother and little sister live in L.A. and we enjoy doing things together. I also have relatives in Canada who I visit once in a while
